I would vote to adopt new criminal penalties to protect human life in the womb. *

I will vote to protect New Hampshire’s existing 24-week prohibition on abortion, the Fetal Life Protection Act, including by opposing any attempts to add exceptions to the law, remove its penalties, and so on. *

I will vote for a bill that prohibits abortion at or after 15 weeks of gestation and contains limited exceptions to preserve the mother’s life or physical health. *

There is nothing wrong with the traditional view, shared by many religions, that marriage requires male-female complementarity. As a legislator, I will do everything in my power to ensure that no person of faith fears being discriminated against because of this belief. *

It is imperative that New Hampshire state courts protect our constitutional rights. I will speak out against any judicial nominees who are not serious about enforcing constitutional rights, or who take deferential views towards government power. *

Roll call votes—when the votes of individual legislators are recorded for public record—are critical to a functioning republic. I will often call for roll call votes, rather than secret votes, to make sure that New Hampshire voters know where their elected officials stand. *

As a courtesy to my colleagues, I will allow secret votes in order to help them conceal their voting record even when I do not agree with their position. *
